Paws Mongolia was established by Yuna Gelegdorj, a Mongolian-born advocate committed to advancing humane and practical approaches to animal welfare. The organization focuses particularly on the challenges affecting free-roaming dogs and cats in Mongolia while encouraging greater understanding and responsibility toward all animals.

As a U.S.-based nonprofit working through local partnerships, Paws Mongolia supports public education, community engagement, and stronger implementation of animal-welfare initiatives. Its educational signs and billboards reach people in everyday settings and promote humane, responsible treatment of animals.

Through the Paws Mongolia Podcast, the organization also shares evidence-based discussions about animals, human-animal relationships, science, culture, and society. The podcast connects with animal lovers around the world and expands awareness beyond Mongolia and beyond companion-animal issues alone.

Paws Mongolia collaborates with Mongolian organizations, caregivers, volunteers, and other stakeholders to connect local needs with achievable solutions. Its work is guided by cultural understanding, transparency, accountability, and measurable progress.
